DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
No, I do not accept insurance directly. Receipts are available which you can submit to your insurance company to be processed for reimbursement through your coverage.  However, you are responsible for learning about your insurance company’s policy details and available coverage for out of network providers; also for submitting all receipts to the insurance company.

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept Venmo, Pay Pal, cash, or check in the office. I do not accept Zelle at this time. Payment is due at the time of service.

DO YOU HAVE A SLIDING SCALE OR OFFER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?
If you have a financial hardship, some needs-based scholarships are available through Melbourne Community Church.  Please ask your therapist for more information.

HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
Therapy sessions are typically once per week for 50 minutes each.  However, to accommodate individual needs and preferences other arrangements can be made.

WHAT WILL MY FIRST SESSION BE LIKE?
Typically, the first session is composed of introductions, a brief description of the roles of both client and therapist, but is primarily focused on developing an understanding of the presenting problem.  Be prepared to answer questions about what you hope to change through therapy.

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST?
The duration of therapy for any individual is unique and is influenced by the difficulties and concerns being presented, the time frame and extent of those problems, and the personality traits and preferences of the individual.  The average length of therapy in the United States is 6 months.  However, ultimately the only person capable of determining when therapy is concluded is the client.
